Live Projects
The students of the institute believe in implementing theory into practice and for that purpose, they actively take part in live projects for various organizations. Yes Bank along with Gram Serve selected ten students of the institute for their project which involved value chain mapping of horticultural produce. The students of Batch 2006-08 did their project work in various agri business related organization namely Monsanto, Tata Chemicals Ltd., Indiabulls Retail, Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd., TÜV SÜD South Asia, Godrej Agrovet, Sungro Seeds, Premium Farm Fresh Produce Ltd., NABARD, , CUTS International and The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd.
Communion Club
It is a regular club of the Institute in which the students discuss pertinent issues, case studies, debate and participate in various other activities for enhancing their analytical aptitude and communication skills.
Cultural Forum
The students at IABM understand the value of culture in life. ABHIVYAKTI, the national level art and management festival is organised every year by IABM. The festival includes management events and fine arts, literary and cultural activities. This year, Agri Business Management Institutes like CABM (Pantnagar), VAMNICOM (Pune) and IIRM (Jodhpur) turned up for the event. The IABM Newsletter, IABM NEWS was also released by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Dr. V. P. S. Arora, Dean, CABM. The forum also arranges socially benevolent activities. A Blood Donation Camp was organized at IABM on September 17, 2008.
Meets and Conferences
Meets and conferences are a regular feature at IABM. Some of the important meets attended by the students in the past one year were:
- International Conference on Agri Business and Food Security in Developing Countries: Opportunities and Challenges conducted by IIM, Lucknow on August 10 -12, 2007
- Consultative Conference on APMC Model Rules organised by FICCI at New Delhi on January 18, 2008
